The club presentation on February 14th will be by Richard Green; an amazing landscape photographer.
Richard owns perhaps the greatest luxury anyone could have in the search for landscapes to photograph – a helicopter. This allows him access to remote areas where he can continue his search for the ultimate landscape.
Richard’s “flying tripod” was a present to himself after he took early retirement from a career as a physicist in Britain. In his twin-turbine EADS Eurocopter EC135 he flies himself and his wife, Carol, to remote locations that would be inaccessible to fixed-wing aircraft.
After years of using a Linhof 5”x4” camera Richard now uses a full-frame Canon 1Ds camera. He creates multi-stitched wide panorama images which are printed to between 2 and 4 metres in length.

Don’t miss what should be a fascinating evening and some brilliant images of the Australian landscape.
